It is no joke that anyone can write , people everyday write their name, write their birth details and so on. We have been writing these types of things and many more for years upon years, we probably have not even realised because it is engraved in our daily routine in some way or another.

There are then the people who view your writing and say that they would not be able to do the same , when in fact they can, they look at what you have achieved in your writing an compete with you , when this should not be the case at all, especially when you are beginning to write your first story.

From my experience , I first discovered that I had a knack for writing when I was say 14 to 16, give or take a year or two. I started to write stories on recycled loose leaf paper, story after story that eventually turned into a compilation of stories in one large folder.

I remember one precise event as to when I subconsciously truly realised writing was for me , my relatives came around to my house to offer thoughts of the bereavement of a close family member, and me being me I wanted to make the event positive thinking back, I showed my aunt a piece of writing I had completed and her as well as my uncle and cousin were taken aback by the stories I had written , it was suggested that I should publish these stories. I was grateful for the feedback and loved the idea, and that was how it began.

See in my experience, my passion for writing grew from a sad experience , and I guess in a way I followed the path of a passion or thirst for greater life experience and opportunity grow from sadness , I am going to get a bit religious now. I have a saying that matches this event perfectly , when one door closes another one opens , and its true.

I should also add that facebook would be another great way that I discovered that writing was my passion and calling.

I write and am deniably on facebook somewhat a lot, as is every second teenager generally speaking, and whilst scrolling through facebook I wanted to find a way that I could share my writing with the world and hopefully in the best way I could , so I wrote short stories , but there was event I remember , it was a comment from a great aunt who commented “so true! you should be a writer”.

It meant alot as that was not only advice and feedback from a family member , but it was also intriguing to see what a person , older person who lived in an entirely different country with different values and beliefs and different types of specific cultured American writers surrounding her thought about her great teenage nephews short piece of writing on a topic that was about a topic about a generation of people who migrated to different countries.

You can write, and how you can do this is just by remembering to write from the heart and what ever comes to you mind when you see different types of visual or worded stimulus because after a while those stories build and eventually you have a portfolio of written works.
